Self-Paced EMT Course

By submitting an application, the applicant understands and agrees to all of the following terms and conditions without exception:

AMT Student Eligibility Criteria:

 Allied Medical Training requires all students meet all of the following criteria in order to take the course:

  • There is no expectation that any student should continually take on a greater share of the work in groups/partners, or that any instructor should focus more time or energy on one student.
  • Must have the cognitive ability ot learn the required skills within the accelerated time frame already set in the curriculum without requiring additional instruction or practice time.
  • Must have the cognitive ability, reliable internet access, and functioning computer/laptop to complete the online course following all required deadlines, grade requirements, and time limits.
  • Must be able to be alert and on-task in a classroom setting for a minimum of 8 hours for 7 straight days (Skill Week)
  • Be able to respond appropriately and under specific time limits in simulated patient environments that induce stress, including the Skills Exam.
  • Must work effectively in a team as well as independently and ensure good communication and teamwork skills are utilized consistently.
  • Be able to appropriately perform all aspects of patient care including but not limited to: lifting and moving stretchers, log rolling a patient, auscultating lung sounds, listening to and following directions of an AED, palpating patients sitting/standing/or on the ground, treating a patient on the floor while supporting oneself on their knees and not needing their hands to support themselves.
  • Must have the ability to perceive, read, communicate, and write proficiently in English to communicate with patients, partners, and staff, since English is the language in which the course is taught.
  • Specific to the 2020-21 Pandemic: Must be able to wear a mask properly, firmly covering the mouth and nose, for 4 hours consecutively.

Academic Credit:

This is a non-credit class. No university academic credit will be issued.

Allied Medical Training is not an eligible educational institution for the purposes of reporting tuition on income tax to receive tax credit.

Refund Policy:

Full refund if requested within 15 days of registering.

NO REFUND BEYOND 15 DAYS FROM REGISTRATION DATE.

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE ONLINE PART OF THE EMT COURSE AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE START OF PART 2 (SKILL TRAINING - SKILL WEEK OR EVENING SKILLS), YOU SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND SKILLS TRAINING AND WILL BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE COURSE IN FULL.

IF YOU COMPLETE BUT DO NOT PASS THE ONLINE PART OF THE EMT COURSE, YOU SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND PART 2 (SKILL TRAINING - SKILL WEEK OR EVENING SKILLS) AND WILL BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE COURSE. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO NOT COMPLETE PART 2 (SKILL TRAINING - SKILL WEEK OR EVENING SKILLS) AFTER REGISTRATION, NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN AND ONLINE COURSE ACCESS WILL BE TERMINATED.

Tuition and Fees:

Self-Paced Online Course: $695

Skill Training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) Tuition: $1,250

There is no obligation to register for Skill Training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) if you decide not to continue your training past the online part of the course.

Online course access (when there has been no Skill Training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) registration) expires 6 months after date of registration. Online course access without any Skill Training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) registration cannot be extended under any circumstances. If Skill Training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) registration is made then you are not eligible to attend based on online course completion requirements, you are considered to not be enrolled in any Skill Training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) and will be withdrawn in full from the course.

Skill Training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) must take place within 9 months of initial registration, including any transfers (see below).

Textbook: You must obtain a print copy or digital access to the textbook before beginning the course work. Information on where to find this textbook for sale will be sent to you in the confirmation email and is also available on the course website.

Tuition is NOT refundable after 15 days of original registration for any reason including withdrawal or the unlikely event of your failure of the course.

Fraudulent checks or e-checks will result in withdrawal from the course, and the student is no longer eligible for enrollment in any of our courses.

CPR Certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers):

BLS/CPR certification at the Healthcare Provider level is required by Minnesota law to become a certified EMT. If you don't have this certification, Allied Medical Training provides training sessions at additional cost. Alternatively, you may obtain this certification through any AHA-certified instructor.

Skill Training Transfer:

If you are unable to attend your scheduled skills training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) for any reason, you must pay a transfer fee to change your enrollment. You must choose a new Skill Week OR Evening Skills course that takes place within 3 months of the current skill training, and no more than 9 months from the date you registered for the course.

Transfer Fee at least one month before your skill training begins: $255

Transfer Fee within one month (4 weeks) of your registered skill training*: $500

*Transferring 7 days or less before the start of your scheduled skill training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) is not accepted. Failure to complete the required online coursework by the deadline of the Monday one week (7 days) before the start of your skill training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) will result in your withdrawal from the course in full.

Transfers are only accepted one time based on reason for transfer and progress in the online course. No further transfer requests will be accepted.

Transfer Fee is subject to change without notice, and your transfer request may be denied if you've previously transferred, your progress in the online course, or based on how long you've been enrolled in the course.

Background Check Disclosure:

The NREMT and many state EMS boards require a disclosure of criminal and/or a background check be performed in order to become a licensed/certified EMT. If you are concerned you may not qualify for a license based on a previous conviction or arrest, please contact the NREMT and your state EMS office to verify your eligibility.

Medical:

I understand that as part of the course of instruction, I may be placed in close contact with other students, instructors and actual patients. Such contact may result in my contact with diseases and human blood or bodily fluids, and/or items contaminated with blood or bodily fluids. I understand that Allied Medical Training strongly encourages receiving a full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine for my own health and safety during in-class training. I agree to practice standard precautions to protect myself from contact with potentially contaminated items. By my signature on this application, I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Allied Medical Training, LLC, as well as any hospital or healthcare agency where clinical training is completed and their respective employees and agents from any and all damages that might result from such contact. I further understand, that while it is not a requirement for admission to or participation in this course, all students are urged to seek out and obtain vaccinations against Hepatitis B prior to attending the course. Further, I understand that as part of the course I may be performing physical activity and that the course may also require the use of medical equipment. By my signature below, I hereby certify that my physical condition will allow me to participate without risk to myself or others and I release and agree to hold harmless Allied Medical Training, LLC as well as other clinical training sites and their respective employees and agents from any and all damages which might result from such activity or use.

Successful Completion:

I understand that if I only sign up for the online component of the course, I have 6 months of access. When the 6 month deadline is reached and the course is incomplete and no registration for skill training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills) has been made, or the course completion requirements were not completed by the deadline for their chosen skill training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills), access to the course may be terminated without notice.

I understand that in order to successfully complete this part of the EMT course I must, unless otherwise stated in the course syllabus, attend all required online sessions and obtain a passing score on each quiz, exam, and the final exam. I understand that not achieving a passing score on an assessment will prevent me from moving forward in the course and result in my course withdrawal.

In addition, to successfully complete the entire Self-Paced EMT course I must pass the online part of the course, skill training (Skill Week OR Evening Skills), and the overall course practical skills exam conducted by Allied Medical Training, LLC and a standardized patient clinical rotation performed through Allied Medical Training, LLC. Successful completion of this course will make me eligible to become certified as a National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (upon successful completion of NREMT written exam). I understand that the NREMT written exam is a standardized external examination and that Allied Medical Training, LLC cannot guarantee a passing score on this exam. 

I understand that I am responsible for finding out my own state's requirements for becoming a certified EMT to verify that they will accept NREMT certification.

The following statement applies if your course fee was sponsored by your employer or any other organization: I consent to have my education records, including but not limited to my grades and attendance reports, provided to my immediate supervisor and upper level management of my employer or my caseworker and the organization that helped me enroll in the course.

Refund Policy:

Full refund if requested within 15 days of registering EXCEPT if the student has begun Skill Weekend.

Full refund in the rare event of course cancellation.

After 15 days of registering: NO refund.

After Skill Weekend has begun: NO refund.

Failure or withdrawal from Skill Weekend: NO refund.

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED AND PASSED THE ONLINE PART OF THE COURSE AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE START OF SKILL WEEKEND, THE APPLICANT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THAT SKILL WEEKEND AND NO REFUND OF TUITION WILL BE GIVEN. In this case, the applicant will need to register for later Skill Weekend dates and pay the transfer fee.

If you do not attend your registered Skill Weekend, you will be withdrawn from the course in full. Completing the course will require re-registering and paying the full fees.

Tuition and Fees:

Self-Paced EMR Course: $795

A digital textbook is included in the online part of the course. You do not need to purchase any additional materials.

Fraudulent checks or e-checks will result in withdrawal from the course, and the student is no longer eligible for enrollment in any of our courses.

Transfer Fee:

Choose your Skill Weekend dates carefully and give yourself enough time to complete the online part of the course so that you do not incur a fee to transfer to later Skill Weekend. No transfers will be accepted if you do not attend all or any part of Skill Weekend since that means the you are withdrawn from the course in full.

Initiate transfer up to one week before Skill Weekend: $100 fee

Initiate transfer during week before Skill Weekend: $255 fee

Background Check Disclosure:

I understand that when I register for the course, I have 6 months of access. When the 6 month deadline is reached and the course is incomplete and Skill Weekend has not been attended, access to the course may be terminated without notice.

I understand that in order to successfully complete this part of the EMR course I must, unless otherwise stated in the course syllabus, attend all required online sessions and obtain a cumulative score of 75% or above on all assessments and 70% on the final comprehensive exam.

In addition, to successfully complete the entire Self-Paced EMR course I must pass the online part of the course, Skill Sessions (Skill Weekend) on my scheduled date, and the overall course practical skills exam conducted by Allied Medical Training, LLC. Successful completion of this course will satisfy the educational requirements to become certified as an Emergency Medical Responder in Minnesota.

I understand that if I also want to apply for National EMR Certification with the NREMT, I must inform Allied Medical Training by email BEFORE my Skill Weekend. I understand that if I don't inform Allied Medical Training of my request for national certification before my Skill Weekend, Allied Medical Training reserves the right to not approve my NREMT application. I understand that if I wait more than one week after course completion to make my NREMT application and notify Allied Medical Training via email, further proof of ongoing knowledge competency will be required in order to receive NREMT approval. I understand that waiting 6 months after course completion to complete and notify Allied Medical Training via email about my NREMT application will result in no NREMT approval.

Online course access is terminated at the completion of the course, or when the student withdraws, whichever comes first.

The following statement applies if your course fee was sponsored by your employer or any other organization: I consent to have my education records, including but not limited to my grades and attendance reports, provided to my immediate supervisor and upper level management of my employer or my caseworker and the organization that helped me enroll in the course. 

EMR & EMT Skill Review Courses

By submitting an application, the applicant understands and agrees to all of the following terms and conditions without exception:

Academic Credit:

This is a non-credit class. No university academic credit will be issued.

Allied Medical Training is not an eligible educational institution for the purposes of reporting tuition on income tax to receive tax credit.

Not a Certification Course:

This review course is meant to supplement your preparation for NREMT certification testing. It is not a replacement to an EMR or EMT initial certification course.

Viewing Restrictions:

Course materials and videos created by Allied Medical Training are copyright protected by Allied Medical Training. You are prohibited from copying course materials, allowing others to view the course materials, or allowing others to use your log in information to access the course. 

RN to EMT Transition

By submitting an application, the applicant understands and agrees to all of the following terms and conditions without exception:

Prerequisite:

You must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or MD and meet the eligibility requirements by the NREMT.

Academic Credit:

This is a non-credit class. No academic credit will be issued.

Allied Medical Training is not an eligible educational institution for the purposes of reporting tuition on income tax to receive tax credit.

Refund Policy:

Within first 15 days of course purchase: 
Full refund if request is made during first 15 days after course purchase. This applies only if you have not finished the course and have not attended the in class session. If a refund is given you will be removed from the course and no course completion certificate will be given. No refund will be issued if you have already finished the course or attended the in class session.

After first 15 days of course purchase: 
NO refund of any tuition payments. This includes the following scenarios: There is no refund if you are not present for your scheduled in-class session(s). THERE IS A $75 FEE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR SKILLS SESSION IF YOU DO NOT SHOW UP TO THE SESSION OR RESCHEDULE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF THE SESSION. There is no refund if you do not complete the online portions of the course. There is no refund if you do not pass the practical exam portion of the course. Although it is expected most students will pass the course without difficulty, Allied Medical Training, LLC does not guarantee that you will pass this course.

Course Cancellation:

If the Skills Exam is cancelled, complete reimbursement will be submitted to applicant if applicant is unable to attend any subsequently scheduled Skills Exams.

Application Deadline:

Applications will be accepted until the course is full. Students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Should the course be filled, you will be notified and may be offered alternative in-class sessions.

NREMT Psychomotor Skills Exam: $200

American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider (if needed): $80

Medical:

Successful Completion:

I understand that in order to successfully complete the course I must attend all required online activities, upload NIMS 100 and 700 certificates, upload BLS certification, and verify my RN license by uploading it into the online course. I agree that passing the online course means getting a cumulative score of 75% or higher on the quizzes.

I understand that in order to get approved on the NREMT and MN EMSRB as an EMT initial, I must pass the RN to EMT online course component (and all associated materials) and pass the NREMT Psychomotor Skills Exam with Allied Medical Training.

I understand that I am responsible for ensuring I have created an NREMT initial application to receive approval to take the NREMT certifying exam after completing all course requirements.

I am responsible for ensuring my state will accept NREMT certification to become EMT certified there (and verify that I meet all other requirements), and I am responsible for figuring out my state's EMT application process.

The following statement applies if your course fee was sponsored by your employer or any other organization: I consent to have my education records, including but not limited to my grades and attendance reports, provided to my immediate supervisor and upper level management of my employer or my caseworker and the organization that helped me enroll in the course. 

EMT Refresher: NCCP Components

By submitting an application, the applicant understands and agrees to all of the following terms and conditions without exception:

Prerequisite:

You must have one of the following:
(1) Current EMT certification in a state that accepts CAPCE-accredited continuing education (if your state EMT cert has expired, please contact us for your options)
OR
(3) Current NREMT EMT certification (if your NREMT cert has expired, please contact us for your options)

Academic Credit:

This is a non-credit class. No academic credit will be issued.

Allied Medical Training is not an eligible educational institution for the purposes of reporting tuition on income tax to receive tax credit.

Refund Policy:

Full refund if the NREMT does not accept the course to fulfill the educational requirements of EMT recertification.

Within first 15 days of course purchase: 
Full refund if request is made during first 15 days after course purchase. This applies only if you have not finished the course yet. If a refund is given you will be removed from the course and no course completion certificate will be given. No refund will be issued if you have already finished the course.

After first 15 days of course purchase:

By my signature on this application, I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Allied Medical Training, LLC and their respective employees and agents from any and all damages that might result from such contact. Further, I understand that as part of the course I may be performing physical activity. By my signature below, I hereby certify that my physical condition will allow me to participate without risk to myself or others and I release and agree to hold harmless Allied Medical Training, LLC and their respective employees and agents from any and all damages which might result from such activity or use.

Successful Completion:

I understand that in order to successfully complete the course I must complete all required online activities (including uploading current BLS Provider certification that includes an in-class component)  and obtain a total score of 75% or above. 

I understand that my course access may be terminated without notice 6 months after registration, or after the renewal cycle lapses and I have not completed the course.

The following statement applies if your course fee was sponsored by your employer or any other organization: I consent to have my education records, including but not limited to my grades and attendance reports, provided to my immediate supervisor and upper level management of my employer or my caseworker and the organization that helped me enroll in the course.

EMR Refresher

By submitting an application, the applicant understands and agrees to all of the following terms and conditions without exception:

Prerequisite:

You must have one of the following:
(1) Current Minnesota EMR certification
OR
(2) Current NREMT EMR certification
OR
(3) Expired EMR certification within the last year

Academic Credit:

This is a non-credit class. No university academic credit will be issued.

Allied Medical Training is not an eligible educational institution for the purposes of reporting tuition on income tax to receive tax credit.

Refund Policy:

Full refund if the Minnesota EMSRB does not accept the course to fulfill the educational requirements of EMT recertification for the 2019 or 2020 renewal cycle.

Within first 15 days of course purchase: 
Full refund if request is made during first 15 days after course purchase. This applies only if you have not finished the course and have not attended the in class session. If a refund is given you will be removed from the course and no course completion certificate will be given. No refund will be issued if you have already finished the course or attended the in class session.

CPR Certification:

It is highly recommended that you maintain CPR certification at the healthcare provider level. We offer an American Heart Association CPR course for $80.

Online EMR Refresher Course: $195

American Heart Association CPR for Healthcare Providers (optional): $80

Medical:

I understand that as part of the CPR course of instruction (if chosen), I may be placed in close contact with other students and instructors. Such contact may result in my contact with diseases and human blood or bodily fluids, and/or items contaminated with blood or bodily fluids. I agree to practice standard precautions to protect myself from contact with potentially contaminated items. By my signature on this application, I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Allied Medical Training, LLC and their respective employees and agents from any and all damages that might result from such contact. Further, I understand that as part of the course I may be performing physical activity. By my signature below, I hereby certify that my physical condition will allow me to participate without risk to myself or others and I release and agree to hold harmless Allied Medical Training, LLC and their respective employees and agents from any and all damages which might result from such activity or use.
