Meet AMT: Madeline L.

We interview our staff members for details on their EMS journey.

When/why did you first become interested in working in the EMS field?

I first became interested in EMS during college to see if I was interested in pursuing a career in health care.

Tell us about your experience in the EMS field. What jobs have you had?

I’ve worked as an ER Technician in the Twin Cities since 2020 and lately have worked as a Hyperbaric Oxygen Technician.

What is the most rewarding part about working in EMS?

It’s very rewarding to have the skills I’ve developed be able to give people relief during some of the toughest moments of their lives.

What is your favorite part about working for Allied Medical Training?

I love following students’ progress throughout a Skill Week. It’s exciting to see everyone grow and learn to apply their new skills!

If you could give advice to someone looking to become an EMT, what would you tell them?

Never stop learning. Medical knowledge is growing all the time, and it’s important to stay on top of what’s best for your patients.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Shapeshifting!

Thanks, Madeline!
