2016 State of the Program

This month marks six years since the start of Allied Medical Training. We have witnessed an incredible amount of growth over the years – in student enrollment, size of our training facility, and ourselves as instructors. In 2015, we trained over 270 EMT initial students, recorded our fourth version of new online presentations, redesigned our logo and website, and moved into a larger facility.

We are already busy working on some exciting initiatives for 2016. A new EMR initial course will be completed and available this summer. Open houses will soon be held routinely for prospective students. Later this year we’ll be rolling out an accelerated version of our EMT course that takes place over just one week.

This year also marks the NREMT and EMSRB announcing significant changes for refresher programs at the EMT level and higher (starting with next year’s recertification cycle). This means there is no longer a requirement for a formal skills exam, but rather a greater focus on continuing education topics, a portion of which can be completed online. Be assured that Allied Medical Training is developing convenient course options to guide you through this new refresher process. In the meantime, you can review the changes by watching this video or by reading this description.

Our program is now able to offer re-certification courses at the AEMT and Paramedic level. If you are a paramedic and interested in helping teach those courses, please contact us. This will be a great opportunity to expand our course offerings to a wider part of the EMS community!

Thank you to all the students who chose us to provide their education! With your support we’re able to continue providing high quality, convenient, and affordable EMS courses.
